Tonight, I play at BBC at the Edinburgh Festivals at 6pm. Free entry and all welcome! . . . Tuesday throwback to my set there last year with @jackhinksmusic, when the weather was infinitely better than it is today!

Afternoon, one and all! The Edinburgh festival officially kicks off today, and it wouldn’t be right if I wasn’t getting involved in it somewhere. Here’s the list of gigs I’ll be playing, including a return to BBC at the Edinburgh Festivals on the 14th! All my gigs are free entry and you’re all welcome along to join me in song. I had a great time performing at and supporting the Scotland Against Trump demonstrations in Glasgow and Edinburgh on Friday and Saturday. Some 10000 came to Glasgow and an estimated 60000 were in Edinburgh. It was a real privilege to play to such massive crowds who were out to show President Trump that he and his far right agenda are not welcome in Scotland. Well done to everyone that came out and to all the organisers involved as well. Let’s carry on building this movement for democracy, peace and anti-fascism! Tonight, I’m making my first ever appearance at Out of the Bedroom in Woodland Creatures in Edinburgh. The night kicks off at 8pm and my set as the feature act starts around 9/10pm. All welcome and the more musicians the better - see you then! (Picture is a throwback to my time in Berlin last month and is by Jens Schulze)

Very happy to announce that I will be playing at the Scotland Against Trump mass protests and demonstrations this weekend in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Trump and the political agenda which he embodies is of the far right. He is anti-equalities, anti-trade union, he is threat to peace and is a climate change denier. He represents the very worst expressions of what society can become if it is allowed to turn its back on progress, and I am honoured to be invited to play at these excellent events. If you are available either of these days, come along and hear from those organising the resistance to Trump and his agenda here in Scotland and the UK.

I’m home now from an excellent weekend in Berlin playing music at Fest der Linken and an evening of music in support of Melodie und Rhythmus. It was great to see the sights again and to spend time with friends. I also met some new faces too, including the Cuban Heavy Metal band, Tendencia, who are on tour in Germany right now. Many thanks to @tobias_thiele_tt for his friendship and support this weekend, and to the @redheadmusic_berlin family for getting me the gigs I played. I’ll be back in Berlin in August to play with Tobi, and it can’t come quickly enough!
